Robin....

....busy with nest building

Today we enjoyed a walk in the forest, where we saw this lovely Robin.

On our walk we passed by the house with the name: 't Hooge Nest (The High Nest), it's also the title of the book I'm reading at the moment, written by Roxane van Iperen.
This house in the Dutch region 't Gooi was a hiding place for Jews during the Second World War.
It's an interesting and moving book, I can highly recommend it, there is an English translation of the book, titled: The sisters of Auschwitz.
The author lives in this house and during the renovation of the house she discovered trapdoors and hiding places everywhere and she reconstructed the history of her house, in particular the story of two young sisters, who lived there in 1943 and 1944.
