I went to Hexham today for a fibroscan of my liver. They measure the amount of fibrous tissue in your liver using sound waves.
It was simply screening to see if I was eligible to participate in a clinical trial for None Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.  One reading was acceptable and the other wasn't. I wasn't within the bracket for the trial. The lady told me if I had been accepted I would have had a liver biopsy - that was a lucky escape.
I'd taken mum with me and she'd had a look around the town. We went to Tesco and Aldi for supplies on the way home.
