Ice cream in Pittenweem

Despite the forecast for rain for all of today, by this afternoon, there was a glimpse of blue skies appearing, so we headed along the coast to a spot we love, Pittenweem Tidal Pool.

Unfortunately, I hadn't checked the tide times beforehand, and it was practically at its highest when we arrived there, and the waves did appear a bit rough.

None of us was keen on a swim, although there were a few folks braver than us when we arrived. We soon had the place to ourselves though, and a spot of paddling did occur later before heading off by the harbour for obligatory ice cream from Nicholson’s Sweet & Ice Cream Shop!
