Singer Chamois, 1969
We spent some time in Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life today. The description of this little car reads -
Rootes Motors produced this car as an upmarket version of their economy car, the Hillman Imp. The body panels of the Chamois and Imp were manufactured at their Linwood Plant in Paisly using steel supplied from Ravenscraig. With a Coventry Climax derived engine, the Chamois could do a top speed of 80 mph.
