Rare sighting
Neighbour J called this morning to see if I wanted to have a look at a fairly unusual wildlife visitor in his garden…..a flatworm. Coincidentally, I had recently come across one in my garden a few weeks ago, never having seen one before. Fortunately, the ones we have both seen are native to the UK and are not to be confused with the New Zealand flatworms which are causing problems with our earthworm population.
It was fascinating to watch this creature as it changed shape from short and fat to long and thin (extra), depending on the direction of its movement.
