Lilac Tree

The lilac tree is doing very well this year. The blooms are pretty and their fragrance is marvelous. There were years I thought about cutting the tree down but am glad that I didn't.
I had a strange encounter with a tiny wren in my garden. I was weeding and working on the tomato plants. The wren has a nest in a bird house overlooking the garden. Momma (or dad) flew down and landed a foot from me and sat there giving me the eye. It sat there for several minutes before flying off. Maybe I was too close to the nest.
