St Aidan's Nature Reserve - widwed290622

I had a walk around part of St Aidan's nature reserve today.  It used to be an open cast mine but has now been transformed into  a place of beauty and sanctuary for birds.

For the answer to yesterdays Blip if you look at the left hand side in the middle of of open space there is the image that I posted.  

The other extras are a reminder of the past life of St Aidan's and form part of the industrial heritage of the area around where my parents live.
