Wildlife photographer of the year

There’s often a green woodpecker outside my bedroom window but today there were two!  I love watching them, especially on the lawn where they peck like a child’s toy, their whole body bending stiffly. 

Today was zoom zoom zoom.  Glad to be going for a break tomorrow. Edinburgh and Mull here we come! 

Made a gooseberry cake to take to Edinburgh note to self it was from the NS Kitchen Diaries II.  Last year I made a gooseberry cake and I have spent ages trying to locate the recipe.  This one is called gooseberry crumble cake.
