Beyond the Blue Horizon
We were at the Denver Art Museum today. Looking through a large keyhole into a blue lit space, I could see a young child, and the outstretched arm (or was it a leg?) of a larger person reaching for the child. If I was that child's parent, I would be hoping that this young one was emerging from a space which was not mine to come toward me. As a grandparent, the sense I had was that this child was disappearing across the horizon into worlds I did not (any longer) have access to.
