The Pink Princess...

Brought my steam bike up to use in Tynemouth. Now I have an e-bike there's no going back to steam power on those South Yorkshire hills!
That left the pink bike spare - this is the one that Christina bequeathed to us when she went back to Sweden, and Roy refurbished. Sue in Tynemouth put us in touch with Edith - pictured - who is happy to collect bikes to pass on to the local refugee/immigrant group she works with so that they have transport. We had spare lights and a helmet to go with it, so she's really pleased and has a person in mind to donate it to.
After we'd dropped the bike off we walked along to Hinnies in Whitley Bay for a lovely lunch. By the time we'd walked back we'd covered a lot of ground :)
Met Sue for a cheeky half sitting outside the Gibraltar Rock when we got back. A perfectly splendid day by the sea :)

PS meant to say - the mystery mono was a cafetiere plunger fresh from the washing up bowl, which several people spotted :)
