Pop-up Opera
Returning through Fisherrow Links from our walk along the river Esk at Musselburgh we discovered a live performance under way before a seated audience, so stopped to watch from a distance.
It was part of Scottish Opera's Pop-up Opera series, whereby the story of three operas is told in illustrated commentary and song, performed in costume, over three half-hour sessions. We caught the end of Mozart's Figaro. The series continues in other venues until the 10th July.
Extra photo - a ladybird on thistle, because I liked it. We did see ringlet and speckled wood butterflies but they declined to be photographed.
