Thursday: Spencer

Although this chap looks remarkably like George V, it is, in fact, Spencer Compton, the 8th Duke of Devonshire (yes, that household name).  Fact is, in those days, I think everybody looked like George V.

The course is pretty good and I’m liking my course participants.  Sometimes it’s the connections you make that is just as good (or better) than the substance.  A few of us went for a couple of drinks this evening.

And………huge excitement…….my case has turned up!  I’m delighted, even if it is almost time to pack it up and take it home again.  It does feel me with slight trepidation, but what are the chances of losing it twice?
