But eventually this runner did and she nearly jumped out of her skin! I got a good shot of her surprised face, but the boomer was hopping off by then and therefore a bit blurry - I didn't have time to check the settings on the camera when this scene unfolded before me, while walking Lucy on the Aqueduct track at the bottom of my road.
