Day 158. Bisket Jatra festival

We went to Bhakthapur to celebrate Newari New's year. It was very exciting. We spent almost two hours watching a 25m pole slotted to be raised and set into the stone yoni in one of Bhaktapur's Pottery square. It in itself was enough spectacle for the day. Hundreds of people watching and crying out to raised a pole. Here an incredible capture of the moment.
