A long lineage
Its another dull overcast day and its raining. At least it will help to settle the dust storms we have been having in the high winds. Snow ploughs have been re deployed in the area to clear the roads of the fine sand that has blocked many.
At last there is a bit of colour around the garden pond, so in a brief lull I nipped out and I'm sorry but this is a grab shot. My father in law used to be a police officer with the MOD police at Woowhich Arsenal. Where he lived in Erith there was a piece of waste ground nearby and he noticed some primulars had taken root on a rubbish pile. Like me, not letting anything go to waste he dug a few up and tranfered them to his garden where they flourished. I first saw them growing around his garden pond back in 1969/70. When I married his daughter in 1971 he gave me some to put in my first garden. In every house we have lived in since, we have always taken some of them with us to follow on. I have given plants to my children and friends, so from Erith they have spread throughout the country.
