Positano

Drove to Positano today on the winding roads on the coast as none of us had been there before. It is a pretty and spectacular town but I did not enjoy its charms in 36 degree heat due to sheer numbers of tourists crowding its narrow streets, and its tourist bilge shops are not an attractive part of its street experience. We had lunch on the seafront but turned away from 30 euro pp sunbeds to head back to the sunbeds in our apartment. My climb to the top of the cliff to get the car and drive it to a lower point to pick up the others was memorable, but not for good reasons. All good exercise I guess.
