Blomfield

Not a James Bond villain but an amateur photographer who spent his uni days taking pictures of Edinburgh and after much hard work from his wife and family became a highly regarded street photographer with a wonderful back catalogue. There was a major exhibition of his work in 2018 and now Edinburgh University have inherited his back catalogue and there's a new exhibition in the EU Central Library...a must see if you're from Edinburgh. In other news I made a return to Chez Jules for a fab lunch, busy, atmospheric, good cheap food and they even played some music from Amelie! Also popped into the Census exhibition at the Portrait Gallery which is a great insight into modern Scotland and it's future...'Questions the cycle of inequality across generations and how a lack of opportunity repeats itself. How many of our choices in life are predetermined by being born into disadvantage or privilege.'
