Lavender Fields

My floral search for today’s Flower Friday challenge took me to Lavender Fields near Alton in Hampshire. This family run farm has diversified to grow lavender for oil extraction, and at this time of year the field is open to the public.  

I arrived early and had the field to myself for a while, apart from the busy bees and small tortoiseshell butterflies, accompanied by that scent!  There was also a lovely display of wild flowers (extra).
