Me and Mick

Today I met Mick Whitmarsh, or Mike as he is known nowadays. No, we weren't strangers but it was the first time we'd met for 44 years (Forty Four YEARS!!!!!). Unbelievable isn't it but that's the wonder of the internet.
Last time we were together was in July 1969 when he was leaving RAF Masirah, Oman. I left shortly afterwards to go on an extended tour to Singapore. What a dirty job but someone had to do it I suppose :-)
We are attending an RAF Masirah and RAF Salalah reunion in October in Harrogate. We will be meeting up with others that we knew in Oman as well such as Den Rees (Air Movements), Reg Ball (RAF Police) and no doubt a few others.
There's a trip to Masirah planned for October 2014 which we are all looking forward to of course.
