Pye-Flatt Meadow

This is the first year for maybe 10 years when I haven’t been to photograph the orchids when they were at their best.  I’ve done too much ‘tripping’ off to other places this year.

It was all looking very dry and there were fading orchids among the meadow.  Quite a lot of meadow butterflies about but not easy to identify them as it was windy and they weren’t still.  I think Meadow Browns were in the majority.

I’ve managed another hour and a half in the garden this afternoon.  I need to keep that up if I am going to get to grips with all the trimming and tidying there is to do.  It’s quite a big garden.
