Red Kite

I went out at lunchtime for a stroll to try and get some photos of the blue birds that I saw yesterday, but, alas, they were nowhere to be seen.

There were, however, a band of 18 red and black kites wheeling around in the sky - which this one is a member of the said band.

The pic is a bit noisy as it has been severely cropped and I probably won't be going out there this evening due to a surprise bout of man-flu setting in.

I may as well have stayed in the garden as there are birds everywhere, their song is beautiful.

I will now have a quick lie down and maybe a petit kip-ette ...
