Blue Suede Shoes

We’ve got a charity gig tonight, helping to raise funds for Mind in Furness. And our support act is Elvis, so it seems appropriate that these shoes should be tonight’s footwear of choice.
I’m taking my Tele with me as our lead guitarist fancies giving it a bit of a workout. Looking forward to hearing it being played a) at a decent volume and, b) well!
Regrettably, the one guitar that won’t be going tonight is the newly acquired Epiphone bass. Last time out, it wouldn’t stop feeding back and, despite trying a different set up on the amp, I just can’t get it to sound right at gig volumes. I think we’ll just have to write this one off to experience - a nice guitar, just not suited to my amp or playing style.
Should be a good night - we’ve got two 45 minute slots - and hopefully everyone will enjoy themselves as well as raising money for this worthwhile mental health charity, which does a lot of good work in the Barrow-in-Furness area.
