Bamboo galore!
This blip is a blip focusing on the bamboo scaffolding NOT the ferry!
As I was coming back into DB on the ferry, I spotted these workers erecting the bamboo on these buildings. They work really fast in putting these up and it truly is fascinating to watch the skill involved. I know because we were 'done' two years ago and they worked right outside our windows.
Here in HK, all buildings have to be renovated every 7 years. Sometimes that renovation can involve the inside areas of a building, ie stairs, common areas like entrance of buildings. DB is mostly blocks of flats, some high rise some low rise. This particular block is a low rise ... up to 4 floors.
You can see some of the workers actually up on the scaffolding. Just fascinating how this natural resource is used so cleverly!
