Charging tales

We spent a busy couple of hours packing the car with stuff for the actual trip, plus a good quantity of things that we think we might need whilst in rented accommodation, especially if stillthere when it gets colder - heavy sweaters, etc etc

We had an easy trip over. Traffic was heavy at times, but mostly moving at a decent speed, except when we were brought to a complete halt to allow some debris to be cleared from the motorway. We had straightforward charging at Corley Services whilst we lunched. We booked the night at Bridgend Services, where there is a Days Inn, and chargers. As you can see from the collage, there are EIGHT Tesla chargers (totally vacant when we went up to the Starbucks for our evening snack). These can ONLY be used by Teslas! And just two chargers for the multitude of other EV cars - one of which was malfunctioning today.
We had to queue, though fortunately not for too long, and it wasn't a problem as we had reached our destination for the night.

The good thing about that was that after various people had no doubt spent several frustrating hours contacting GridServe, GridServe had made the one remaining charger free of charge - to compensate for the inconvenience.

Hoping for a better night's sleep as I feel I have built up quite a deficit over the last week or two.
