Views from an Open Garden

Day 2 of our Open Garden Weekend.  Yesterday, probably because of the weather and lots of conflicting events in the area, was a bit of a disappointment, raising only £50 for charity.

Today we raised £350 - that's more like it.

Whether that had anything to do with making it known that there'd be steam trains running, if going to be one of those things we'll never know.

One, outstandingly patient and well-behaved 2(?) year old revived my faith in competent parenting - something that had taken a bit of a battering recently; though we did have to 'let the trains go to sleep' for a while so that the parents had half a chance to see the rest of the garden
