The butterflies are coming

A week ago I thought the Buddleia looked a bit stunted - the flower heads looked tiny and shrivelled.
Then the butterflies started appearing - and this morning it looked like this!
Lots of lovely long flower heads, the rich purple colour, early morning sunshine, blue sky  - what more could we want?
Well, there are a couple of things - someone in the village shared a photo last week of a Hummingbird Moth on their Buddleia - I have never seen one and would love to have one visit my garden. Then, on Thursday as I arrived home and got out of the car, I looked up and saw a Red Kite flying overhead - never seen one of those near here either! Of course, by the time I had got my camera out, it was too far away - but one day……..!
