Contortionist

Late afternoon I went for a walk to the ponds to see how the cygnets are doing. Despite their parents' odd behaviour (female doing the parenting but sometimes leaving them alone while male keeps his distance) they're doing well. This is the male on the new nest he built and there's a cute cygnet in the extras.
There's also a beautiful, scented rose down there (also in extras), I'm not sure if it's naturally wild or is derived from a cultivated version.
Earlier in the day had been a lovely service at church, even though the congregation was very small, and time spent on my sewing and watching the cycling.
