Ordinands

My good friend D was Ordained as a Deacon at Guildford Cathedral this morning.
In the morning service there were seven Ordinands (new word for me) and nine this afternoon. It was a lovely service and the weather was glorious. Her Curacy starts tomorrow in her new church in Surrey.  The main blip is the cover from the Order of Service. The image is taken from the east window in the cathedral, depicting the descending dove representing the Holy Spirit. The extra is the cathedral itself. Building commenced in 1936. The story about the rest of its construction makes interesting reading.
