Fire Engine ...

... at our house this morning.  It had been called to a sad  accident just down the street to the right--no fire anywhere. A young driver coming out of the condominium parking lot had been hit by a passing car; his car is now back in the lot with a badly damaged front end, visible from our bathroom window. (The other car was probably relatively OK, since it soon drove on.)
