Celebration by the sea in Yachats

This picture was taken by a friend. There are many celebrations of the Fourth of July ahead of time and the locations next to lakes, rivers and the ocean are the best as then there is no fire danger.

Another very active day in house and garden, long walks and no rain. The day ended with a fresh cake out of the oven, made with hazelnuts and plums from our own trees but from last year- they had been frozen, which worked very well. So that was a late warm dessert.
