After much preparation the morning rushed by as I filmed the two pigeons. The planning did pay off, although the second bird was very naughty and kept flying away. Luckily it was indoors so only flew up around the conservatory. 

Dave was pleased and now I just have to prepare two of them as A3 images to be printed and mounted. The eye (in the 'Extras') is needed within the portrait as pedigree birds have very distinctive and 'individual' eyes and they need to be portrayed beside the bird. I've learnt a lot! 

To recap, this bird won a major international race just a few weeks ago, the best that Dave has ever achieved with one of his birds. I think it is rather like winning the Grand National.
