Here's me on the way up to the office today, admiring the posters for the tweaked Edinburgh Evening News. Masthead prominence-wise, it was the

But as of this week it's the

evening
NEWS

acknowledging that it hasn't actually been an evening paper for years, now going to press at around 8am with the single edition. The days of three editions a day are, sadly, long gone. Anyway, it's still an excellent paper, just a little less revised than in the old days.

If only the new posters had the new logo ...
