Huge Hostas

The way the front of our house looks has changed quite a bit in the last few weeks.  The ivy on the right hand side of the house became so heavy it fell from the wall and once one bit came off, the rest followed. It had once blocked the guttering at the top of the house.

The ivy on the left was also cut back considerably but has grown rampantly in the last few weeks and will have to be cut again as it's covering the window.  

Most surprising are the hostas in the pots at the front, they've grown huge, and on one side have totally taken over from the hydrangea, which was once the main interest.  They are also looking very healthy which is more luck than judgement.
