Quiet…

It was good to take my lunch outside and sit in the quiet and shade of the plum tree. We’ve recently had a change round of garden furniture. This has been a good move.

Earlier, three of my Elmwood school colleagues and I had said our formal goodbyes to one of our friends. I only received the sad news last week. Her cancer had only been recently diagnosed and was very aggressive.

Pat was an inspiration. So organised, so gentle, so supportive and a wonderful colleague. She was muchly loved by all her pupils. She and I shared the same surname and were known by both pupils and parents as Mrs B 1 and 2. She was always number one.
