Wars past.

These are the remains of concrete anti-tank blocks at the mouth of the river Ythan. They are part of the 12 miles of fortifications built 1940 when we were living in fear of being invaded by Nazi Germany. The green weed growth is evidence of pollution from the runoff of agricultural fertilisers.
