Common Spotted Orchid ( Dactylorhiza fuchsii )

I resisted the temptation to blip the Orchids while doing my 30 days wild challenge.  I did this because in our garden they can hardly be considered wild.

A few years ago one appeared in a pot on the patio.  Over the years this has grown to be a group of five plants.  This year a number of the pots around the garden have got Orchids in them.  They are the commonest Orchid seen in the UK being found in roadside verges, old quarries and many similar habitats.  The colour can vary from almost white to quite dark.
