Thank you for being a *****
So many things about today are etched very clearly on my mind.
S was lucid this morning and early afternoon, and then quite confused and a bit agitated for the rest of the day.
In his lucid moments, he said goodbye to two of his closest friends, by phone, when they rang. His phone only works on speaker (classic Stevie), and he was needing help holding it, so I sat with him while he spoke to Trevor and Danny.
He said goodbye to Pud, who was heading back to Tassie, then had some time by himself to think about his best brother.
He signed his postal vote, something that he and we were bloody proud of.
C and Joey and I muddled our way through helping S for the rest of the afternoon. He managed some of Lee’s apple purée, but not before giving us a lesson on how to use the microwave. L subbed in for me this evening, without C+A, who were, in fact, not waylaid at Upper Hurlingham.
I also washed about 200 pieces of Tupperware*, after we found weevils in S+J’s pantry.
*not exaggerating
