Linnet

I'm not absolutely certain, but today's bird could be a linnet. I'll be happy to be corrected, but if so it's the first time I have seen them here.

There seem to be goldfinches, and a few other small characters around to identify. The wagtails continue to be obliging subjects.

I noticed the winter garlic yesterday and inspected it more closely today. It is indeed growing.

Unfortunately I'm preoccupied with a number of matters at the moment but it isn't anything to complain about. We will have to sow some lupins etc soon.
