Not Haritomeni (again)
There's a restaurant here called Haritomeni. It's difficult to find; if you tried to direct someone they'd get hopelessly lost. It's down a load of steps, turn right where everyone turns left, then weave your way left and right through little lanes, what seems like people's front gardens, steps down and back up, and onto the old road up the to the village. You see into front rooms and can hear what they are watching on TV, you come across several cats and just maybe, a goat. And don't even think of going there without a torch to light your way back. But it's worth it; the food is good and the view over the harbour is amazing.
We were going to go there last night, but at our usual pre-dinner bar we got into conversation and stayed rather longer than intended, so ate at Zoe's Taverna nearby. The revised plan was to go tonight but guess what? We got into conversation at our pre-dinner bar and stayed longer than we intended. So tonight we went to Georgios which is also nearby, and this is the view from our table. The restaurant we're looking at is new this year and we ate there a few nights ago and were impressed. We'll go back; but not before we try to get to Haritomeni again.
