Identity Crisis

Well, not really. But I have no idea what this very striking winged insect is. Further investigation required.

We went to Foulshaw Moss after lunch, and before returning to pack and head home. It’s always good. I took photos of lizards (plenty on the boardwalk, an example in extras), skippers and damselflies. The ospreys ( there are now three youngsters, which apparently may fly for the first time this week) were having a lazy time. And I got quite excited seeing our first snake on the boardwalk, but it saw (or sensed) us and was off almost as soon as we noticed it.
