Whitchurch Alport 0 Chester FC 2

It's back. 45 days after my last game of the 2021/22 campaign I started the  2022/23 season with Chester's first friendly, a short drive down the road to Whitchurch. It is 20 years since I last visited this ground and it has developed into a super little stadium. 

Everyone I spoke to was in a positive mood for Calum's first game in charge and it proved to be a pleasant way to spend the evening. The result was irrelevant.

I liked the crowd in this photo sheltering their eyes from the setting sun. It was much easier to see where I was standing.
