Seals Basking

Off down to the beach for a pre dinner walk. The winds have dropped. Hurrah! The place was deserted. Hurrah!

The seals are normally about 3 miles along from the car park on one specific sandbank so we weren't expecting to see them on a midweek walk. Imagine our surprise when we rounded the corner at about 2 miles along and saw an entire herd basking. There were some seal pups there and we had the dogs so we didn't dare go to close! Even so they began rumbling and the baby seal scudded back towards the main herd as we drew nearer!

In other news...one of my pics is in the wee film that is on the blip blog from lovers of light. Took me a while to spot it but its this one!

A small midweek wine is now called for :)
