Faded Union

Unions Jacks in a tree somewhere, faded by the sun, some long ago celebrations .. of what I wonder... when ....?
I was strolling along merrily, I think someone shouted at me for photographing their tree in the garden after the deed... when I returned an hour later .. the flags had been removed... hmm. Well, at least the sky is blue, deep and rich, and the trees are budding. All is well and all manner of thing ... at some point we all hope!
