Happy birthday Max!

We had a lovely day, presents in the morning, the kids got together and made a delicious full English brunch including black pudding.

Our friends Kate and Tim who are on holiday organised a delivery of birthday cakes and wine for his present.

In the evening friends Kevin and Rachael came over with the daughter Kaitlyn and her nanny Jaydi. Rachael turned up with 24 oysters and loads of booze and later on they generously ordered a massive Japanese takeaway for everybody, wow! There are other daughter Lauryn and boyfriend Reg joined us later in the evening.

There was a bit of drama however when Zebedee, Natalia , Jaydi and Kaitlyn walked up to the local Lidl to buy some more wine and some ice cream et cetera, Jaydi is 28, Natalia is 24 and Zebedee is 22 and Kaitlyn is 12. Jaydi was refused service and accused of intending to supply alcohol to Kaitlyn. She’s asked for her ID which was literally thrown back at her and the woman on the tills started having a bit of a fit bang on the counter saying I need her help I need help, sounds like a total nutter. Apparently a member of staff had been staring at Zebedee and Nat who is black with long dreadlocks and both she and Zebedee have a lot of tattoos, can’t help thinking that assumptions had been made about them? Anyway Rachael and Erin went up there, Rachel was treated very badly and once the manager had come he banned her for life LOL, hence the T-shirt. It’s so sad, Natalia said this does happen to her about once a year, just awful. We are making lots of complaints and tweeting about it. Anyway we were able to have a good laugh about the whole thing.
