Vittorio Emmanuele monument

We bought a 2 day ticket for the open top tour bus. It was too hot to walk a long way. Luckily for taking a photo, the bus is stationary in the traffic long enough to get a picture. We still did 5 miles in between the bus and where we needed to be. We all had lunch together followed by gelato. I was thrilled because they had vegan ones without milk so I could have one. The taxis were on strike and there were big demonstrations in various places. Neil and Sals had to get the 5 pm train to the airport for an 11 pm flight so it was a long journey.
