Heron

A heron fishing in a local stream. I spotted him as I walked by - usually they are very timid and fly off at the slightest movement. This one let me get reasonably close, and change to my telephoto lens!
I was a bit early for my redundancy meeting, so I took a little time watching and snapping. He caught a fish at one point, but too quick for me to get it on film. It passed the time before the axe fell!
