for renovation. This used to be Jim’s Cottage (he died several years ago) and he lived there from the 60’s onwards. No mains water or electricity and a highly suspect drainage system. An interesting chap who had a wealth of knowledge and actually told me that my old Somerset number plate was originally on a 30’s police vehicle. How he knew I know not. Sadly there was a fire which virtually destroyed his home so he moved into a small caravan on the site. He was offered council accommodation but refused. He died a few years later!
