The Milk Bar
Up early this morning for another visit to the eye clinic at Shrewsbury Hospital for Mr HB and after more drops, tests and eye scans it appears that he now suffers from wet macula degeneration - another condition which is slow growing but nevertheless needs careful monitoring and regular check ups.
Up to the Gliding Club afterwards where Competition Enterprise is taking place 'The primary aim of Enterprise is to maximise the day, making the most of all types of lift, exploring the countryside and generally encourage an 'enterprising' approach to your day's flying. meaning that today our Clubhouse was full of glider pilots itching to get underway to complete their tasks, but the overcast and windy start to the day held them up, but they were able to get going later on in the morning. We stayed for a good chat with many friends and an early lunch, then home to start the big pack up for our two week stay in Cornwall tomorrow , can't wait.
My blip: the wild ponies were in evidence as we descended the steep hill down to civilization in Church Stretton.
