Wild and windy

It has been a wild and windy wednesday.. 
This rose is looking beautiful through the ( rather grubby) window as the wind tosses it around.  We are having a new satellite dish fitted tomorrow so I had to chop back the golden yellow rose from it's rather magnificent 7ft high to a more manageable 3 foot hight so that that the men can get in to the corner without being shredded by it.  I think the roses would probably have been burnt off with todays wind so i am benefitting from a huge bunch in the house now. Loverly!!
