Looking back
We opted for a long flattish walk today which took us from Newborough via Llanddwyn Island and back in a circular 9 mile walk. It would have been 12 miles if it had been safe to walk across to the Island but we knew the tide was coming in. It was heavy going on some of the beach areas in the softer sand. We soon left everyone behind after the car park nearest to the Island. I think the bird in the first extra is a woodlark and the others are orchids, the common spotted and the Welsh marsh orchids. After the expansive beach areas the walk takes you through the wooded areas. We had sunshine on the beach while we were eating our lunch.
Then back to the house to watch Rafa Nadal win the nail biting quarter final against the much younger American.
